About the Role
This position involves translating, editing, and reviewing clinical and medical documentation with precision and adherence to industry standards. The linguist must ensure all content meets quality benchmarks and aligns with regulatory requirements for use in Taiwan.
Responsibilities
- Translate clinical trial materials, patient records, and regulatory submissions
- Ensure translations comply with Taiwan-specific language standards
- Review and edit content for linguistic accuracy and consistency
- Maintain terminology databases and translation memory tools
- Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines
- Verify translated content aligns with original meaning
- Follow established quality assurance protocols
- Adapt medical terminology for local regulatory expectations
- Participate in linguistic validation processes
- Respond to queries from reviewers and subject matter experts
- Handle sensitive healthcare information with confidentiality
- Stay current with changes in medical language and guidelines
- Support consistency across multilingual documentation sets
- Revise drafts based on feedback from clients or reviewers
- Ensure formatting matches source documents
- Identify potential cultural or linguistic issues in source texts
- Work with style guides tailored to clinical content
- Deliver translations within assigned timelines
- Flag ambiguous or unclear source content
- Contribute to process improvements in translation workflows
Nice to Have
- Experience translating clinical trial protocols
- Background in pharmaceutical documentation
- Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice guidelines
- Prior work with regulatory agencies in Taiwan
- Knowledge of ICH standards
- Experience with electronic data capture systems
