Responsibilities
- Operate hardware simulators and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test systems in laboratory and field settings, following test plans and scenarios with precision and safety.
- Set up and dismantle test systems, including rack assembly, power cycling, cabling, configuration loading, and pre-test verifications.
- Monitor simulator performance during operations using telemetry, logs, and self-tests; detect anomalies and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and integration problems involving power systems, input/output interfaces, network connections, timing signals, and sensor/actuator components.
- Perform calibration and validation of simulator inputs and outputs using standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, digital multimeters, and power supplies, following established procedures.
- Ensure configuration management by tracking versions, wiring schematics, equipment inventory, spare parts, and change logs for both lab and field configurations.
- Gather, annotate, and verify test data; prepare run logs, preliminary analysis summaries, and issue reports for post-test reviews.
- Assist with logistics during field operations, including equipment packing, transportation, site setup, environmental monitoring, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Develop and update operational documentation such as checklists, test procedures, troubleshooting manuals, and training resources.
Compensation
Pay Range $85,000 - $163,000 The pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, geographic location, and any applicable laws.
