About the Role
We are looking for a skilled leader to launch and scale our London office, shaping its engineering culture and technical strategy. This person will build and manage infrastructure or AI infrastructure teams, align with global leadership, and drive excellence across systems and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Found and lead the London office, defining its culture and operational framework
- Cultivate a collaborative and high-achieving engineering environment rooted in company values and local innovation
- Act as the primary representative for London operations in company-wide strategic conversations
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure smooth site execution
- Strengthen ties with the London and European tech community through outreach and partnerships
- Directly supervise and mentor one or more infrastructure or AI infrastructure teams of 5-15+ engineers
- Define technical vision and strategic priorities for London-based infrastructure projects aligned with global objectives
- Lead key architectural decisions and uphold standards of technical quality
- Ensure reliable, scalable, and well-monitored systems for AI/ML infrastructure
- Work with global engineering leaders to standardize practices and coordinate initiatives
- Grow infrastructure teams through targeted hiring and leadership development
- Develop and implement a local talent acquisition strategy in collaboration with recruiting teams
- Design career progression paths and growth opportunities for engineers
- Promote technical mentorship and cross-team knowledge exchange
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Research teams to deliver infrastructure solutions
- Coordinate with other site leads to enable seamless global collaboration
- Contribute to enterprise-wide infrastructure planning and roadmap development
- Enable consistent sharing of best practices and technical insights across regions
