Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in scheduling work packages and milestones to ensure timely start of production.
- Guide the Engineering team from requirements analysis through system and software implementation to validation, following the V-model approach.
- Collaborate with the team to verify that product designs are manufacturable with required quality standards.
- Support execution of quality checkpoints and sample approvals as part of the APQP process.
- Ensure thorough preparation for internal and customer production line launches.
- Help prevent defects during development by actively participating in risk assessments such as FMEA.
- Act as a coach in 8D problem-solving to determine root causes and implement corrective actions systematically.
- Assist in evaluating, documenting, and communicating risks of known issues in a clear, management-friendly format.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, save time, and enhance product quality.
- Conduct process compliance reviews, monitor quality metrics, and work with Engineering to define corrective steps for gaps.
- Deliver independent quality status reports and escalation summaries to senior management, including decision requests.
- Lead quality gate reviews, control plan development, FMEA sessions, and process audits.
- Manage coordination and preparation for customer quality audits.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
