Serasa Experian is hiring an Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Brazil-based engineering team focused on DataHub to deliver global mappers and system integrations.
  • Deliver mapper and platform development for global stakeholders, including teams in North America, under a unified operating model.
  • Expand the number of integrated data sources within DataHub and enable self-service capabilities, with Brazil leading as the primary region for a globally available feature.
  • Adopt an inner-source methodology with consistent, high-quality contributions to shared upstream repositories.
  • Collaborate with the Brazil-based Credit Decisioning team through a defined co-development model when shared resources are allocated.
  • Build and maintain full-stack solutions using Java/Spring for backend services and Angular or React for frontend interfaces.
  • Enforce rigorous testing and deployment practices, including CI/CD pipelines and safe release protocols.
  • Provide direct people leadership by setting clear objectives, delivering balanced feedback, coaching team members, managing performance cycles, and planning for future leadership needs.
  • Own the planning and execution of deliverables in partnership with Product and other cross-functional teams.
  • Manage project dependencies and proactively communicate progress, risks, and strategic trade-offs to senior leadership and regional stakeholders.
  • Remain actively involved in system architecture and critical path development.
  • Conduct technical reviews and ensure adherence to standards for OpenAPI, acceptance testing, Jenkins, SonarQube, and security tools like Veracode or Checkmarx.
  • Collaborate with KL DataHub and global team leads to drive reusable contributions that enhance global integration effectiveness.
  • Maintain reliable on-call rotations and incident response procedures.
  • Lead root-cause analyses of production issues and ensure long-term, sustainable resolutions.
  • Conduct structured technical interviews and support bar-raising hiring practices in coordination with HR.
  • Ensure the Codility assessment is consistently applied during the technical hiring process.
  • Sustain a productive co-development partnership with the Brazil-based Credit Decisioning team when joint capacity is committed.
