Video is central to all services offered. The role involves leading a team that builds and maintains systems for streaming thousands of live and on-demand channels. The manager must enable technical excellence, support knowledge sharing, contribute to architectural improvements, and operate at scale across complex video delivery systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead and organize the Streaming & CDN engineering team effectively
- Define and drive the technical strategy in collaboration with senior developers
- Manage the full development lifecycle to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable systems
- Continuously improve code quality and promote engineering best practices
- Act as the technical representative for the team to stakeholders and partners
- Collaborate with peer engineering managers to streamline shared processes and reduce complexity
- Directly supervise 2 to 4 engineers and lead recruitment efforts
- Support professional growth, development, and retention of engineering team members
- Contribute technically to the team's platform and systems

THE STREAMING & CDN TEAM
The team develops and maintains the infrastructure that delivers video streams directly to end users. It builds and operates a Smart CDN using proprietary software for distributed caching, just-in-time packaging, and encryption. Responsibilities include DRM server components, stream session management, and ensuring high reliability and quality of experience. The team collaborates closely with Ingest & Storage, Ads Backend (handling server-side ad insertion), and Playback teams.
