True Anomaly is hiring an Engineering Manager, Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Define and guide the technical strategy for spacecraft digital and mixed-signal hardware, covering flight computers, payload computing, and interface electronics.
  • Supervise, coach, and expand a team of electrical engineers through all phases of PCB and digital system development.
  • Manage complete hardware development cycles, from defining requirements to board layout, component selection, bring-up, integration, and qualification testing.
  • Establish and uphold design standards, review procedures, and configuration control practices across digital hardware initiatives.
  • Lead technical evaluations of system architectures, components, and development methods focused on performance, size, weight, power, cost, reliability, and affordability.
  • Shape a forward-thinking vision for avionics computing platforms that scale with evolving spacecraft programs.
  • Promote continuous improvements in design-to-delivery processes, identifying inefficiencies as the team grows.
  • Oversee timelines, financial budgets, staffing plans, and technical risk across multiple simultaneous hardware projects.
  • Coordinate with embedded software, FPGA, cybersecurity, systems engineering, and test teams to ensure full integration of digital hardware, including hardware root of trust implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace and defense standards and lead formal design reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Report development progress and technical challenges to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Must be able to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance.
  • This role requires on-site presence in Denver, CO, with potential travel to other locations as necessary.

  • Physical demands include regular sitting, occasional bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds; driving may be required for site visits.
  • The position will remain open until the right candidate is hired.
