Sia Partners is hiring an Engineering Manager – AI Platforms

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software and machine learning engineers specializing in generative AI.
• Evaluate team performance, guide professional development, and cultivate a diverse, innovative culture focused on algorithm design and implementation.
• Define and manage the strategic direction of AI platforms, advancing capabilities from prototype stages to scalable, enterprise-level systems supporting retrieval-augmented generation, agent-based processes, and large-scale model optimization.
• Supervise the creation of efficient, scalable machine learning pipelines, emphasizing statistical accuracy, model validation, and the transformation of experimental code into production systems.
• Implement and maintain reliable MLOps practices, including continuous integration and deployment, model monitoring, and detection of performance degradation.
• Collaborate with data science leads, product owners, and cloud infrastructure experts to ensure technology development supports business goals and client requirements.
• Deliver technical oversight and review for advanced AI integrations involving vector storage, workflow orchestration tools, and distributed cloud architectures.
• Enforce compliance with international data protection regulations and embed ethical AI principles to prevent bias and protect privacy across model development and deployment.
• Serve as a technical liaison, interpreting complex data science concepts and platform functionalities into actionable business insights for senior decision-makers.
