Responsibilities
- Establish and scale a high-performing engineering team to support platform and data initiatives
- Manage daily engineering operations including sprint execution, technical quality, and resource planning
- Champion technical excellence through sound architecture, code standards, DevOps practices, and system reliability
- Serve as the escalation owner for technical roadblocks, inter-team dependencies, and project delivery risks
- Collaborate with senior leadership on hiring, team development, vendor management, and long-term strategy
- Lead and develop a team of data, analytics, and platform engineers through clear expectations, regular feedback, and performance management
- Oversee sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives while balancing capacity across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Guide technical design and architectural decisions to ensure scalable, maintainable solutions aligned with data best practices
- Enforce engineering standards including code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, testing, documentation, and incident response
- Work closely with executive leadership to recruit and integrate new engineering talent
- Act as the primary engineering liaison to multiple business units and technology teams, translating requirements into technical scope
- Ensure platform stability and reliability by implementing monitoring, alerting, and incident management protocols
