iHerb is hiring an Employment & Litigation Counsel

Responsibilities

• Handle and provide legal support for employment-related claims such as wage and hour issues, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and PAGA actions
• Support responses to administrative complaints filed with agencies like EEOC, DFEH/CRD, and the Labor Commissioner
• Prepare position statements, settlement agreements, and other litigation-related documents
• Collaborate with HR and internal teams to resolve workplace disputes before litigation and reduce legal exposure
• Assist in managing broader litigation including commercial conflicts, consumer complaints, and regulatory investigations
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, court filings, and discovery responses
• Support the development of case strategies and conduct factual investigations
• Deliver practical legal guidance to HR and business units on employee relations, policies, and employment practices
• Help create and revise employment policies, procedures, and training content
• Analyze patterns in employee claims and suggest proactive measures to reduce risk
• Work with external legal counsel on employment litigation, including coordinating deadlines, aligning strategies, and managing budgets
• Support compliance with document preservation, litigation holds, and electronic discovery processes
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and assist in tracking and reporting claims data

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred
