Responsibilities
- Conduct onboarding and integrate into technical teams by attending team meetings, one-on-one sessions (with consent), and planning discussions.
- Develop trusting relationships with managers to understand team dynamics, challenges, and unresolved concerns.
- Assess current people practices across departments, including performance discussions, onboarding effectiveness, and existing shortcomings.
- Pinpoint the two to three areas where manager support can deliver the most immediate positive impact.
- Initiate hands-on coaching for managers in performance discussions, feedback delivery, and team-level decision-making.
- Collaborate with the People team to implement new systems—such as performance, engagement, and onboarding—tailored to technical environments.
- Identify and communicate people-related risks at the department level with clear context and recommended actions.
- Establish consistent check-ins with department leadership across assigned areas.
- Ensure managers feel significantly more supported in people-related decisions within the first 90 days.
- Create a comprehensive understanding of team health, including retention risks, skill development gaps, and team interactions.
- Support the successful implementation and adoption of at least one People system within a technical department.
- Be recognized as a trusted advisor by technical leaders who proactively seek guidance, rather than viewed as an enforcement role.

Compensation
Total compensation includes base salary ranging from $195,000 to $315,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location, plus potential equity through stock options.
Work Arrangement
Regular travel to company offices and team locations is required.
