Royal Ambulance is hiring an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Santa Clara County

Responsibilities

  • Operate within county clinical and operational protocols while following all company processes, policies, quality standards, and expectations for patient care and customer service.
  • Deliver basic life support, including patient assessment, airway management, and use of an automatic defibrillator, and assist patients as needed.
  • Identify, address, and resolve patient and customer needs to ensure appropriate treatment or action.
  • Offer support, comfort, understanding, and compassionate care to patients and their families who may be scared, anxious, or vulnerable.
  • Assess the nature and severity of illness or injury to determine priority for emergency care and transport.
  • Maintain composure in difficult and stressful situations while performing job duties to the best of your ability.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certified as an EMT in California
  • Santa Clara County Badge
  • Hazmat FRO certification
  • Valid California driver's license and California ambulance driver's license
  • Medical Examiner's Certificate
  • Valid American Heart Association CPR card
  • FEMA/NFPA courses: ICS-100, ICS-700, AWR-160
  • Immunizations within the last 10 years (HepB, MMR, TDAP, Varicella)
  • TB test within the last year
