About the Role

TE Connectivity is hiring an Embedded Software Test Engineer to develop and verify embedded software tests for aerospace power distribution electronics. You will join a small, growing team within the Aerospace, Defense & Marine Business Unit dedicated to software development and safety certification.

What You'll Do

  • Develop Unit Tests in Embedded C for Arm Cortex and PIC microcontrollers.
  • Perform Test Verification for DO-178.
  • Develop high-level and low-level test cases and procedures per DO-178.
  • Independently review design, test cases, and test procedures.
  • Review and integrate third-party verification and validation (V&V) vendor tests.
  • Create issues with problem reporting tools.
  • Utilize Vectorcast.
  • Implement pipeline automation for CI/CD.
  • Generate reports to satisfy V&V documentation requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or Electrical & Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent work history.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen only (due to ITAR, CUI, NOFORN restrictions).
  • Experience with embedded software languages.
  • Knowledge of tools and test methods needed to debug firmware solutions.
  • Understanding of the DO-178 certification process from design to certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Continuous Improvement (Kaizen, 5S, 6σ).
  • Experience with Agile and waterfall development approaches.
