ALTEN is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop strategic embedded solutions within the defense sector. In this role, you will focus on real-time application design, software integration, and process improvement for critical systems.
What You'll Do
- Design and optimize real-time applications using modern C/C++ (C++17, templates, RAII) and Python.
- Integrate and validate software components in constrained environments, collaborating closely with systems and hardware teams.
- Continuously improve development processes, including CI/CD, code reviews, and test coverage, to ensure robust and maintainable solutions.
- Produce technical documentation and share knowledge within expert communities.
What We're Looking For
- Engineering degree or Master's in Computer Science or Electronics with a specialization in embedded systems.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in C/C++ and Python development within an industrial context.
- Knowledge of real-time systems, such as embedded Linux and RTOS.
- Practice with Git, CMake, Docker, and Agile/DevOps methodologies.
- Eligibility for defense security clearance, mandatory for concerned sites.
