Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of advanced embedded software using C, C++, or Ada programming languages.
- Architect software solutions for real-time embedded platforms used in avionics and mission-critical systems.
- Build software that interfaces with physical hardware, control mechanisms, and data communication layers.
- Guide software requirements analysis and breakdown throughout the embedded development lifecycle.
- Lead high-level and detailed design phases of embedded software development.
- Oversee implementation efforts and provide technical leadership during development.
- Manage integration tasks and conduct system-level testing for embedded applications.
- Direct verification and validation processes to ensure software correctness and reliability.
- Support the creation of documentation required for regulatory compliance.
- Ensure all software development adheres to aerospace and defense industry standards.
- Assist in certification processes, audits, and technical program reviews.
- Supervise verification efforts based on system and software requirements.
- Help develop test plans and strategies for software validation.
- Diagnose and resolve complex software problems identified during testing or integration.
- Offer technical direction to software developers and cross-functional teams.
- Engage in system-level architecture planning and technical strategy sessions.
- Act as the main technical liaison with customers to align on project scope and deliverables.
- Support customer-facing engineering reviews and milestone evaluations.
- Collaborate with clients to define performance indicators, monitor budgets, and review progress regularly.
- Partner with customers to track, manage, and resolve project risks and technical issues.
- Monitor project timelines, prepare status updates, and report key performance data to stakeholders.
- Contribute to internal initiatives such as hiring and performance evaluation processes.
