Thales is hiring an Embedded Software Development Engineer to work on the embedded anti-collision software for a new drone product. You will join a team of thirty specialists within the aeronautics domain, contributing to the development and certification of this critical software.
What You'll Do
- Participate in software certification activities (DO178C Level B) across all phases of the development cycle.
- Contribute to the development of new standards for the Detect and Avoid (ACAS-Xa and ACAS-Xr) anti-collision algorithm.
- Build expertise in key software technical areas: complex algorithms (developed by MIT), and HW/SW architecture (ARINC653) with support from the software architect.
- Take part in the team's AGILE ceremonies and actively contribute to the capitalization of software activities.
What We're Looking For
- Engineering degree or Bac+5 equivalent.
- At least 4 years of experience in embedded software development using C and C++ in an AGILE environment.
- Mastery of all phases of a software development cycle (specification, design, coding, and testing).
- Experience developing software that implements complex algorithms.
- Knowledge of DO178C Level B and ARINC653 standards.
- Practice with unit testing and associated tools (RTRT).
- Experience with test automation.
- Ability to use an AI assistant during the coding phase.
- Rigor, commitment to deadlines, adaptability, teamwork, and curiosity.
Nice to Have
- Comfort with spoken English.
