Tiber Technologies is looking for an Embedded Developer to join our team focused on real-time embedded software for defense and aerospace systems. In this role, you will be at the nexus of hardware and software, developing the foundational code that powers critical systems.
What You'll Do
- Develop real-time embedded software for defense and aerospace systems.
- Design, implement, and test software for hardware/software interfaces.
- Develop low-level drivers and board support packages (BSP).
- Implement and test communication protocols such as Ethernet, Serial, and CAN.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis to integration.
- Collaborate with hardware and systems engineers to define software requirements.
- Debug and troubleshoot software/hardware integration issues.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in embedded software development.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Hands-on experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as VxWorks, Integrity, or FreeRTOS.
- Proven experience with hardware/software interfaces and low-level driver development.
- Direct experience with communication protocols like Ethernet, Serial, and CAN.
- Familiarity with software development tools including debuggers, emulators, and compilers.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience developing for defense or aerospace systems.
- Knowledge of DO-178C or similar safety-critical software standards.
- Experience with FPGA or ASIC development.
- Active U.S. security clearance.
