Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Manager in organizing and managing on-site operations
- Lead and supervise teams of electrical engineering specialists at the project location
- Monitor and document daily site progress and activities
- Execute tasks according to quality standards, schedule, budget, safety, and efficiency
- Address challenges and strengthen team performance
- Comprehend the IFC scope of work and report any deviations to the Construction Manager
- Perform material and task take-offs for change requests when required
- Collaborate with planners to complete site progress evaluation forms
- Prepare a two-week rolling work plan and confirm it during weekly coordination meetings
- Coordinate electrical tasks with other trades using whiteboard updates and direct communication
- Ensure work is completed in time for scheduled testing and commissioning phases
- Analyze and fully grasp the IFC scope of work documentation
- Discuss and finalize site layout plans for your area with the Construction Manager
- Set up work zones as planned—ensuring all equipment is mobile and floor surfaces remain protected
- Designate a team member to oversee cleanliness and upkeep of the work area
- Ensure temporary power is ready for direct crews and subcontractors before their required start date
- Understand the project’s quality goal: timely delivery of systems without defects
- Study and interpret the Quality Control Plan based on the 6M methodology
- Apply the Quality Control Plan consistently on site
- Review and understand the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)
- Enforce compliance with the ITP throughout installation activities
- Ensure only approved materials are used within your installation responsibilities
- Conduct weekly quality inspections and complete required checklists
- Resolve findings from quality audits promptly
- Identify defects during installation and halt work for toolbox talks if recurring issues occur
