Responsibilities
- Examine electrical systems and installations throughout and after construction to confirm they meet safety codes, project requirements, and industry standards such as NEC and IEC.
- Oversee electrical work for quality assurance, verifying alignment with engineering blueprints, project plans, and technical specifications.
- Conduct various electrical tests including continuity, insulation resistance, and voltage testing to validate system performance and safety.
- Keep accurate records of inspections, complete non-conformance reports, and maintain testing logs while reporting quality issues to supervisors and project leads.
- Detect and document deviations from standards, coordinate with responsible parties to address them, and confirm corrective actions are completed.
- Partner with site engineers and contractors to resolve quality concerns and ensure work follows project specifications.
- Ensure all electrical activities follow workplace safety protocols and comply with applicable electrical codes and regulations.
- Inspect incoming electrical components and materials to verify they meet required standards and quality criteria before installation.
- Offer input and recommendations for enhancing quality control methods, materials, and overall processes.
