Responsibilities
- Serve on-site or in-office as an electrical installation engineer, providing daily technical oversight to electrical and mechanical personnel, technicians, and support staff.
- Carry out electrical installation objectives and processes defined by the Installation Supervisor at customer locations.
- Collaborate with project managers to define on-site installation needs, ensure progress toward customer acceptance, maintain schedules, and review daily installation tasks.
- Develop comprehensive, step-by-step installation procedures based on crane system setup activities.
- Design and assemble all necessary control cabinets and temporary power distribution panels required for successful installation execution.
- Act as the lead electrical engineer on-site to prepare installation equipment for testing and execute testing using the most efficient methods.
- Assist the electrical engineering team with Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), guiding the customer through each step to verify system functionality.
- Complete all required verification processes and tests—including point-to-point checks and ground resistance measurements—and document results as prerequisites for SAT.
- Ensure SAT includes customer-defined hold points for quality inspections and approvals before proceeding, such as post-load test reviews and validation of safety systems.
- Conduct final backup operations after SAT completion to confirm updated software versions and settings are saved to the system laptop.
- Maintain a professional, customer-focused attitude and adopt a problem-solving approach to complete installations, testing, and startup efficiently.
- Independently learn new technical content and grasp installation design principles.
- Contribute suggestions for improving installation or design processes by sharing feedback with engineering supervisors and senior engineers to enhance performance or reduce costs.
- Coordinate with project managers to meet installation timelines and collaborate with procurement teams to specify required components.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as directed by management.

- Installation startups and field service work may occur domestically or internationally.
- Field service assignments can last between one and two months per deployment.
