Responsibilities
- Uphold and foster a robust safety culture, ensuring adherence to all safety and environmental policies and regulations.
- Examine bid specifications and drawings for projects valued between $500K and $10M, ensuring comprehensive scope coverage.
- Create detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for industrial electrical and medium-voltage systems.
- Collaborate with Procurement to obtain vendor and supplier pricing.
- Identify, oversee, and sustain relationships with subcontractors, ensuring timely and complete bid coverage.
- Develop project schedules and cost forecasts to enhance estimating precision.
- Monitor and analyze budget-to-actual comparisons throughout the bid lifecycle.
- Work with Project Management to follow up on bids, budgets, and award status.
- Accurately transfer bid documents and subcontractor buyout information to Project Managers.
- Review drawings with Project Management teams and identify risks, gaps, or constructability issues.
- Maintain organized and well-documented estimate files.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
