The Electrical Engineer supports engineering leadership in the design, development, and execution of electrical systems for large-scale hyperscale data centers. This position covers all phases of the project lifecycle and emphasizes adherence to industry standards, safety, reliability, and energy efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve electrical drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure alignment with industry standards and support cross-functional teams.
- Lead and participate in planning sessions for system design and development to meet technical and customer requirements.
- Create technical requisitions for electrical systems, fire protection, and associated components.
- Assess vendor proposals and deliver technical evaluations to assist procurement decisions.
- Produce engineering deliverables such as load lists, cable sizing, single-line diagrams, and power system calculations.
- Design grounding and earthing systems for electrical protection.
- Perform lighting design and conduct photometric analysis for optimal illumination.
- Compile bulk material take-offs and detailed bills of materials for project execution.
- Identify and apply innovative engineering solutions to reduce costs without compromising quality or schedule.
- Stay informed on industry advancements and suggest improvements to engineering tools and processes.
- Work independently to make technical judgments and represent the team in client discussions and meetings.
- Apply advanced engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges under unique project conditions.
- Operate with limited oversight, guided by high-level project objectives and performance goals.
- Evaluate electrical systems for load distribution, capacity planning, and power efficiency.
- Support construction activities by responding to RFIs and resolving field issues promptly.
- Engage in site visits, project coordination meetings, and commissioning tasks as required.
