Responsibilities
- Analyze customer documentation and conduct design for manufacturability and failure mode effects assessments.
- Develop product lines and configure production layouts.
- Design efficient material flow paths across production lines.
- Conduct capacity and time studies, optimize throughput, and define process routing.
- Create detailed work instructions and standardized operating procedures.
- Design and plan production jigs and fixtures for assembly processes.
- Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of manufacturing tools and fixtures.
- Respond to quality-related issues and implement timely corrective actions.
- Train team members and assembly staff on technical processes and best practices.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives through Kaizen methodologies.
- Support new product introduction activities and cross-functional integration.
- Develop prototypes for future versions of current products.
- Evaluate and select alternative components, and design schematics and PCB layouts.
- Propose design upgrades and performance improvements for existing products.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in electrical engineering within mechanical assembly environments.
- Proficient in using JMP and HDL software tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience in developing prototypes for next-generation product variants.
- Knowledge of secondary sourcing, component selection, and circuit board design.
- Capable of suggesting product design improvements.
- Experience collaborating with contract manufacturers on functional testing and issue resolution.
- Support compliance testing for regulatory agencies.
- Explore and evaluate new materials and manufacturing processes.
- Adaptable to both independent work and team-based collaboration.
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
