Responsibilities
- Contribute to the full lifecycle development of custom spacecraft electronic systems, from initial concept to flight delivery
- Create and implement analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit designs for onboard avionics, communications, embedded systems, and vehicle subsystems
- Produce schematic diagrams and design multi-layer printed circuit boards for flight and flight-representative hardware
- Conduct hardware initialization, electrical diagnostics, validation testing, and resolve technical issues
- Work closely with systems, RF, mechanical, thermal, FPGA, software, and integration engineers to ensure fully functional spacecraft electronics
- Assist in hardware integration and verification tasks during spacecraft assembly, integration, and test phases
- Take part in key engineering reviews such as System Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Test Readiness Review, and Flight Readiness Review
- Generate and manage technical documentation including schematics, interface control documents, requirements specifications, test procedures, and verification records
- Engage in design trade-offs, technical evaluations, and cross-disciplinary engineering assessments
- Enhance the reliability, producibility, and mission readiness of electronic hardware through iterative design improvements
- Support concurrent development across multiple spacecraft programs in a high-tempo engineering setting
