Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of electrical designs to detect inconsistencies, gaps, or conflicts in technical specifications.
- Verify cable sizing accuracy and propose adjustments where necessary.
- Ensure timely completion of technical evaluations and rapid resolution of identified engineering issues.
- Prepare and issue detailed electrical technical submissions for client and stakeholder review.
- Oversee submittal approval workflows, monitor equipment procurement and delivery schedules, and confirm receipt and condition upon delivery.
- Participate in and document supply chain coordination meetings to align progress with overall project timelines.
- Maintain up-to-date system progress trackers synchronized with the construction schedule.
- Collaborate with BIM specialists to assess design constructability and confirm sufficient space for equipment and cabling installation and servicing.
- Coordinate with design and supply chain teams to ensure correct on-site system functionality and smooth project handover.
- Perform on-site electrical system inspections to verify alignment with design drawings and specifications.
- Assemble testing documentation, FAT/SAT protocols, and operation & maintenance manuals for formal approval.
- Supervise specialist vendors during commissioning to ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Deliver client training sessions according to the predefined training schedule.
- Lead engineering design and design coordination activities as a core member of integrated project teams.
- Demonstrate strong technical expertise across all areas of electrical engineering design and services.
- Work independently with initiative and minimal supervision.
- Design and specify electrical systems in compliance with current industry regulations and standards.
- Collaborate directly with clients and engineering teams to define project scope and develop viable technical solutions.
- Establish and agree upon design procedures and required deliverables.
- Lead pre-construction engineering efforts, including design development, construction documentation, services integration, submittals, and subcontract coordination.
- Support ongoing improvements to quality assurance processes and conduct project performance reviews.
- Offer technical expertise to estimating, procurement, commercial, marketing, and bidding departments.
- Provide remote technical guidance and support to construction teams during project execution.
