Responsibilities
- Be the go-to person for all things Environment, Health & Safety on site—supporting management, supervisors, workers and (when needed) subcontractors and visitors.
- Lead by example—the one people trust and listen to.
- Keep the Kirby management system alive and relevant on site, not buried in a binder.
- Audit, inspect and challenge—then help fix what isn’t working.
- Ensure training needs are identified, delivered and recorded properly.
- Keep EHS plans, RAMS and all statutory documentation up to date and compliant.
- Investigate incidents thoroughly and help prevent them from ever happening again.
- Verify subcontractor documentation and prepare project-specific EHS plans alongside site management.
- Support HR and the RSPP with appointments, health surveillance, PPE management and mandatory training.
- Attend coordination meetings, issue non-conformances when needed, and make sure everyone on site understands both their obligations and the standards expected.
- Help keep compliance admin sharp, structured and always audit-ready.
Requirements
- A recognised ASPP qualification (Prevention and Protection Service Officer).
- Italian fluency and strong English—enough to keep up in a multinational project environment.
- A steady hand, a proactive mindset, and the confidence to speak up when something’s off.
Nice to Have
- Ideally a Level 3 (or equivalent) occupational health & safety qualification—but if you’ve got the experience, we’re open.
Benefits
- Safety is genuinely valued—not just referenced in PowerPoint. You’ll work with a team that backs you, listens to you, and expects you to bring your ideas forward. You won’t be fighting for relevance here. You’ll be central to how the project succeeds.
