Booz Allen Hamilton is looking for an Edge Engineer to design and deliver secure, portable, and high-performance AWS edge computing solutions for disconnected and remote environments. In this role, you will integrate AI models at the edge and build systems that operate anywhere with zero-trust security and rugged reliability, collaborating within a cross-functional team.
What You'll Do
- Design and deliver secure, portable, and high-performance compute solutions for tactical edge environments.
- Integrate AI models at the edge leveraging AWS IoT Greengrass, Snowball Edge, and SageMaker.
- Build systems that operate anywhere, anytime with zero-trust security and rugged reliability.
- Create solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience with AWS IoT Greengrass, Snowball Edge, or SageMaker Edge Manager for deploying and managing workloads at the tactical edge.
- 3+ years of experience building packaged solutions that sync with AWS Cloud, including operating autonomously in tactical edge scenarios.
- Experience with deploying optimized AI/ML models to edge devices, including quantization, pruning, and model telemetry.
- Experience implementing secure boot, artifact signing, and encryption at rest or in transit.
- Experience with containerization technologies, micro-service network architecture, and CI/CD tools, including GitLab.
- Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products.
- Knowledge of the broader ecosystem and technical environment of software programming.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certification.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SD-WAN, 5g/NextG, and satellite connectivity.
- Experience with incorporating Software Bill of Materials (SBOM), vulnerability scanning, and compliance-as-code for secure deployments.
- Experience orchestrating OTA updates and rollback strategies over constrained links.
- Experience with AWS Outposts and hybrid architectures for tactical and disconnected environments.
- Top Secret clearance.
