About the Role
This role involves delivering evidence-based speech and language interventions to children from birth to age five, focusing on developmental milestones and family engagement. The clinician will conduct assessments, create treatment goals, and provide direct therapy within natural environments.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate speech and language development in infants and toddlers
- Design individualized intervention plans based on assessment findings
- Deliver therapy services in homes, daycare settings, or via telehealth
- Collaborate with caregivers to integrate strategies into daily routines
- Monitor and document client progress consistently
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings with related service providers
- Provide parent education and coaching in communication facilitation techniques
- Ensure compliance with state and federal early intervention regulations
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
- Coordinate with school districts and outside agencies when appropriate
- Engage in ongoing professional development activities
- Adapt materials for children with diverse needs and backgrounds
- Support transition planning for children moving to preschool services
- Use play-based approaches to promote language acquisition
- Respond to referrals from healthcare providers and educators
Nice to Have
- Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)
- Training in infant mental health principles
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
- Licensure in multiple states
- Experience with feeding and swallowing disorders in young children
Compensation
