Job Role: Digital Commerce & Visual Design Specialist
Compensation range: $1,000 AUD - $1,250 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: Role requires alignment with AU business hours (approximately 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, offering contractor flexibility in time management.

Client Background: Established in 2005, this family-operated artisan chocolate enterprise has dedicated nearly two decades to crafting premium Belgian couverture chocolates that interweave traditional techniques with innovative flavor experiences.

Role Overview: We are pursuing a dynamic, precision-focused Digital Commerce & Visual Design Professional to enhance online operations and brand visual representation. This hybrid role demands creativity and technical proficiency, perfect for candidates capable of managing digital platforms while producing exceptional visual assets for marketing, product presentation, and digital campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Commerce Management
- Manage and update product listings (titles, descriptions, pricing, inventory, variants)
- Upload and optimize product photos, banners, and promotional graphics
- Monitor product performance, reviews, and customer inquiries across platforms
- Coordinate and execute promotional campaigns (discounts, bundles, seasonal sales)
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across storefronts
- Track performance metrics such as conversion rates, traffic, sales, and abandoned carts
- Assist in order processing, fulfillment coordination, and customer support tasks
Graphic Design & Content Creation
- Design marketing materials such as product graphics, banners, promos, email visuals, and social media creatives
- Create high-quality digital assets that follow brand guidelines and support e-commerce initiatives
- Develop product mockups, lifestyle graphics, and simple video edits when needed
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to ensure visually cohesive campaigns
- Maintain and update the brand's visual asset library
Requirements
- Experience in e-commerce management (Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, or marketplace platforms)
- Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator
- Understanding of e-commerce best practices, product page optimization, and online merchandising
- Ability to create consistent, on-brand designs across multiple platforms
- Basic knowledge of analytics tools (Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, FB Ads metrics) is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines
Nice to have
- Experience with basic video editing (CapCut, Premiere, or similar tools)
- Experience with email marketing tools (Klaviyo, Mailchimp)
- Knowledge of SEO for product listings
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools

This is a remote role established as an independent contractor engagement.
