Plain Concepts is looking for a Dynamics Business Central Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and CRM solutions, enabling scalable, high-quality systems in a growing multi-entity environment.
What You'll Do
- Design, configure, and customize core Business Central modules such as Finance and Sales.
- Lead and contribute to full lifecycle implementations of Business Central and CRM, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, training, deployment, and support.
- Develop AL extensions using Visual Studio Code, following Microsoft best practices.
- Build and maintain integrations using Business Central APIs (OData, SOAP), Power Platform, RESTful services, and Azure Functions.
- Support application upgrades and perform regular system maintenance.
- Develop custom features using C#/.NET within the Dynamics 365 and Azure ecosystem.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, performant, and aligned with Dynamics 365 best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to support release cycles and continuous improvement.
- Provide ongoing support to internal stakeholders and resolve incidents with appropriate urgency.
- Document business and technical processes, and contribute to project documentation.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Strong AL development skills and experience using Visual Studio Code.
- Experience with Business Central APIs (OData, SOAP) and Power Platform integration.
- Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 CRM platform components, including custom entities, workflows, plugins, and Power Apps.
- Solid understanding of relational database concepts (SQL or equivalent).
- Experience using Azure DevOps for version control, CI/CD (AL pipelines), and task tracking.
- Experience working in agile teams such as Scrum.
- Ability to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across both technical and business teams.
Nice to Have
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or CRM certifications.
- Experience with post-acquisition ERP alignment and financial consolidation across multiple entities.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory or other ETL tools for advanced data integration.
- Participation in pre-sales, scoping, or estimation activities.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Azure ecosystem and its integration with Dynamics 365.
