Responsibilities
- Pre-soaks cutlery and dishes and loads them into the dishwasher.
- Picks up, loads, washes, unloads, and stacks dishes.
- Ensures all utensils, dishware, china, glassware, and pots are cleaned and sanitized.
- Uses the proper chemicals to sanitize items.
- Washes all pots, pans, inserts, etc., and cleans all kitchen equipment (including kitchen utensils, racks, shelves, dish carts, sinks and equipment) as required.
- Sorts and stores all utensils, dishware, glassware, and pots in the assigned storage and server areas.
- Keeps kitchen floors, fridges and freezers cleaned and always washed.
- Cleans and organizes all related work equipment and areas.
- Ensures that all opening and closing duties are performed.
- Always works safely, utilizing the personal protective equipment as required.
- Transports kitchen garbage to the compactor; separates recyclable items as necessary.
- Notifies supervisor of damage to or problems with equipment.
- Assists in the kitchen as required.
- Removes all cardboard from the kitchen to the recycling area.
- Prepares/sets up required dishes, glassware, and cutlery for any catering events.
- Maintains food replenishment for the line as required.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef
