Responsibilities
- Establish and uphold community standards, voice, and cultural norms
- Continuously assess and enhance community well-being, including engagement levels, sentiment, and member retention
- Detect potential issues such as harmful behavior, declining participation, or spam activity, and intervene early
- Plan and implement organized engagement efforts including live discussions, community events, challenges, and content releases
- Promote deep, valuable conversations rather than superficial interactions
- Encourage inactive members to become involved contributors
- Source, train, and supervise a global team of moderators across multiple time zones
- Develop clear moderation procedures, escalation protocols, and standard operating practices
- Apply community rules consistently while maintaining trust and goodwill
- Manage conflicts, escalated cases, and delicate community situations
- Make thoughtful decisions regarding warnings, suspensions, and dispute resolution
- Maintain an appropriate balance between leadership authority and community autonomy
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as engagement, activity trends, and retention rates
- Provide internal teams with meaningful insights from community data
- Recognize emerging patterns, repeated feedback, and areas for enhancement
