Responsibilities
- Guide a team in creating and implementing a long-term product strategy by uncovering market potential, evaluating product ideas, and overseeing product development and launch.
- Design and manage lifecycle strategies for all product lines, focusing on claim enhancements, cost optimization, pricing evaluation, and streamlining of product offerings.
- Deliver strategic direction to interdisciplinary teams working on product development initiatives.
- Represent customer perspectives throughout product development and provide clear, actionable guidance to project teams.
- Maintain a ranked pipeline of product initiatives and collaborate with department leaders to align resources and support.
- Develop financial justifications for projects using business cases and customer adoption forecasts.
- Collaborate with leaders across R&D, regulatory, clinical affairs, operations, finance, marketing, and sales to advance product goals.
- Act as a subject matter expert by gaining in-depth knowledge of product capabilities and applications.
- Collect and assess customer feedback, advocate for the product portfolio, ensure performance standards are met, and identify opportunities for improvement and broader market reach.
- Drive the annual strategic planning process to shape the future growth direction of the business unit.
- Lead efforts to identify and define new market segments, including crafting positioning, messaging, and financial forecasts.
- Oversee market research to uncover customer requirements and industry trends.
- Derive actionable insights that reveal new product and business development opportunities.
- Build and sustain relationships with key external stakeholders, including thought leaders and advocacy groups, to increase product visibility and adoption.
- Review and interpret scientific data, publications, and conference materials to inform internal decision-making.
- Support sales leadership in addressing key customer needs to enhance satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create effective promotional strategies and materials.
- Lead the creation of five-year financial forecasts as part of long-range business planning.
- Monitor and evaluate financial performance indicators to assess product portfolio health.
