Responsibilities
- Deliver a clear, multi-year performance marketing strategy that directly maps to 1Password's PLG revenue and SLG pipeline targets, with measurable milestones the team is accountable to.
- Drive quarterly and annual plans that show exactly where the budget is going, what outcomes are expected, and how you'll adjust when reality diverges from the plan.
- Drive meaningful improvements in team output and efficiency by deploying AI tools across campaign planning, creative testing, audience development, and performance analysis.
- Reduce time-to-insight and time-to-action on campaign performance by embedding AI-enhanced analytics into daily and weekly workflows.
- Deliver pipeline contribution from paid channels that meets or exceeds targets across paid social, paid search, programmatic, content syndication, and emerging channels.
- Build a full-funnel channel portfolio with clear evidence of how each channel contributes at awareness, consideration, and conversion.
- Own weekly and monthly performance reporting that tells a story beyond the numbers, so stakeholders understand what's driving results and what decisions need to be made. Use AI to continuously update and broadcast your analysis.
- Build a test-and-learn rigor that moves the team away from gut-driven decisions toward evidence-backed investment choices over time.
- Deliver accurate budget forecasts with variance explanations, and build a track record Finance and the executive team can rely on.
- Leverage planning models and agentic AI to make budget allocation decisions that improve efficiency metrics (CPL, CAC, pipeline ROI) year over year, not just conduct traditional spend management.
- Produce clear, honest budget recommendations when things aren't working, including when that means reallocating away from a favored channel or approach.
- Lead a team where each person knows what they're accountable for, has a clear development plan, and is continually growing their skillsets along with the business needs.
- Retain top performers by creating an environment that challenges them, rewards results, and gives them meaningful work to do.
- Manage individuals, agents, and people who are managing their individuals and agents. Build a cohesive team culture based on human expertise, taste, and judgement combined with AI curiosity and ambition.
- Establish a team reputation within Marketing for producing work that is rigorous, fast, and genuinely tied to business outcomes.
Requirements
- 10+ years in B2B performance marketing or demand generation, with a track record of hitting pipeline and revenue contribution targets, not just managing programs.
- Demonstrated results using AI in a marketing context, specific examples of where you applied it, what changed, and what it produced.
- Proven success scaling paid programs in B2B SaaS that you can point to with real numbers.
- Deep channel expertise across paid social (LinkedIn, Meta, Reddit, etc.), paid search, programmatic, content syndication, and traditional media with results to back it up at each layer.
- Experience managing inside a sales-assisted or enterprise GTM motion, where the handoff to Sales is as important as the lead itself.
- A history of building teams that grow, retain top talent, and consistently deliver.
- Experience with AI agent frameworks or LLM-powered marketing workflows at a practical level.

How we’re using AI today
On the Marketing team, we’re growing our AI capability together and redesigning how work gets done. We’ve built agents to improve workflows focused on competitive intelligence, content creation, and campaign planning, helping us stay sharp, reduce context-switching, and surface the right information at the right time. AI helps us coordinate, execute, and uncover insights faster so we can spend more time on what’s most important: performance, judgement, and driving the future of 1Password.
Our culture
At 1Password, we prioritize collaboration, clear and transparent communication, receptiveness to feedback, and alignment with our core values: keep it simple, lead with honesty, and put people first. You’ll be part of a team that challenges the status quo, and is excited to experiment and iterate in search of the best solution. That said, 1Password is not for everyone. Our work is demanding, we strive for excellence, and the pace is fast. We need people who are keen to take on challenging problems, who seek feedback to grow, and who are driven to make an impact. If you're looking for a place where you can settle into a comfortable routine, this might not be the right fit for you. We’re looking for individuals who are proven experts in their fields, as well as those who are highly adaptable, can thrive in ambiguity and through change, are curious, and above all deliver results.
How we work with AI
We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission. We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. We want team members at all levels to take the approach of actively learning AI best practices, identifying opportunities to apply AI in meaningful ways, and driving innovative solutions in their daily work. Embracing the future of AI isn't just encouraged—it's an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password. This approach extends to our hiring process—candidates are welcome to use AI tools responsibly and thoughtfully during the application process.
Our approach to remote work
We believe in the power of remote work, but recognize that in-person connection is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, travel for in-person engagement is a part of almost all roles, and we require our employees to be ready and willing to take part. Frequency will depend on role and responsibilities, and may include, but is not limited to: annual department-wide offsites, team meetings, and customer/industry events. Remote work at 1Password does mean working from your home country.
