Responsibilities
- Oversee organizational security including policies, incident response planning, disaster recovery, and continuous risk evaluation
- Ensure ongoing SOC 2 compliance, manage penetration tests and audits, and assess future certification needs
- Define infrastructure architecture with emphasis on cloud strategy, cost efficiency, scalability, and system resilience
- Collaborate with legal teams on data protection obligations, regulatory compliance, and contractual agreements
- Support enterprise clients through deployment cycles, security assessments, and identity integration such as SSO and OIDC
- Act as the main technical contact for customer security questionnaires and procurement-related technical reviews
- Enable secure deployments for regulated environments, including self-hosted and GovCloud solutions for ITAR, EAR, or CUI workloads
- Recruit, guide, and supervise infrastructure engineers as the team expands
- Establish team objectives, operational workflows, and on-call scheduling practices
- Participate in on-call duties and lead technical response during critical incidents
- Develop career progression paths for individual contributors and promote a culture of reliability and high performance
- Design and manage AWS production environments using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles
- Implement automation for deployments, backup systems, and disaster recovery across cloud and on-premises setups
- Continuously monitor and enhance system performance, uptime, and cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate with software development teams to deliver infrastructure solutions that address product challenges
