Responsibilities
- Lead a team of approximately 10 engineers, promoting a culture focused on innovation, teamwork, and high operational standards.
- Ensure timely delivery of roadmap initiatives with strong quality, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
- Work closely with product and business units to define the strategic direction and long-term planning for the team.
- Coordinate with Developer Experience and AI Enablement groups to implement AI-native software development practices aligned with the team's technology stack.
- Collaborate with system architects to design advanced data ingestion and processing systems, staying ahead in technical innovation to improve customer outcomes.
- Attract, guide, and grow skilled engineers within the team and across the broader data infrastructure organization.
- Take full ownership of systems from development through production, including deployment, monitoring, distributed tracing, setting service level objectives, alert thresholds, and managing incident response rotations.
- Track and analyze system cost trends, engage in cost-saving efforts, and lead optimization projects to maintain efficient resource usage.
- Ensure the team builds dependable and testable data pipelines and datasets, with robust validation, data lineage, observability, and clear agreements between data providers and consumers for reliability during failures.
