About the Role
Leads engineering teams by establishing technical direction, promoting best practices, supporting professional growth, and ensuring successful execution of artificial intelligence and machine learning projects through both technical and managerial leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead a group of 5 to 8 engineers with mentorship, career planning, performance reviews, and consistent one-on-one check-ins
- Partner with peer directors to develop engineering processes, adopt methodologies, set standards, and plan annual budgets
- Champion organizational culture by encouraging innovation, team development, and scalable operational practices
- Oversee technical and internal initiative risks across multiple projects to ensure reliable delivery
- Translate technical strategies to stakeholders, unblock challenges, and maintain team productivity
- Support hiring efforts, resource allocation, and project team assignments
- Collaborate with delivery functions including project management, strategy, business development, and account leadership to achieve project success and client satisfaction
- Engage with growth teams to assess client requirements and define accurate project scopes
- Serve as primary technical contact during client engagements, managing communication, relationships, and documentation
- Define and guide engineering excellence in software development, machine learning systems, and architectural design
