Responsibilities
- Establish and manage a high-performing team focused on indirect category management.
- Create and implement a strategic category plan aligned with enterprise goals for cost reduction, risk control, and operational efficiency across current and future operating companies.
- Collaborate with senior leaders in IT, HR, Operations, Marketing, Facilities, and Finance to assess demand and align sourcing initiatives.
- Design and execute category-specific strategies that deliver value, reduce supply chain risk, enhance supplier performance, and maintain regulatory adherence.
- Lead complex RFP processes, contract discussions, and supplier selection in coordination with stakeholders, legal, and compliance teams.
- Perform in-depth market research and spend analysis to uncover savings, consolidate vendors, and utilize national purchasing power.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on cost, service, quality, and compliance, and initiate improvement actions when needed.
- Promote the use of approved supplier networks and catalog systems to minimize unauthorized spending and enforce procurement policies.
- Work with Accounts Payable and Finance teams to improve payment terms, capture rebates, and positively influence working capital.
- Utilize procurement platforms such as Coupa to increase transparency, streamline processes, enforce compliance, and support analytical decision-making.
- Measure and report on key metrics including cost savings, sourcing pipeline, category performance, and policy adherence to executive stakeholders.
- Continuously refine category management tools, performance scorecards, and operational processes to improve outcomes.
- Adapt to evolving program needs by taking on additional responsibilities as the function scales and matures.
