Responsibilities
- Design and oversee high-performance perception architectures using multiple LiDAR and camera sensors.
- Research and implement the latest computer vision and deep learning advancements from conferences like CVPR, ICCV, and IROS, taking them from prototyping to production.
- Improve multi-sensor fusion algorithms for LiDAR-to-LiDAR and LiDAR-to-camera systems, addressing complex edge cases.
- Conduct code and design reviews while providing technical mentorship to junior engineers.
- Identify system performance bottlenecks and develop optimization strategies, including hardware acceleration with CUDA and TensorRT.
- Work with product teams and other departments to define technical requirements and support roadmap planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field with at least 5 years of professional engineering experience, or equivalent research experience from a Master’s or Ph.D. program.
- Experience developing and deploying AI and machine learning focused commercial software to production.
- Strong knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and inference optimization.
- Expertise in 3D geometry, calibration, state estimation, and SLAM.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for debugging and resolving complex system issues.
- Experience leading technical decision-making at a team level.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience in full-stack autonomous driving development.
- Experience developing precise calibration algorithms between heterogeneous sensors.
- Experience optimizing deep learning models on embedded systems like NVIDIA Jetson.
- Experience contributing to open source projects or publishing papers at major conferences in related fields.
