Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Director, IT to manage and scale the technology systems that empower our distributed workforce. This leadership role focuses on delivering secure, reliable, and seamless employee technology experiences through automation and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Lead the IT team in roadmap development, technical execution, project delivery, and day-to-day operations for employee systems and infrastructure.
- Collaborate across departments to deliver secure, integrated, and reliable technology solutions supporting distributed workforces.
- Design and maintain automated onboarding and off-boarding processes to ensure efficient Day One productivity.
- Manage and optimize tools such as Okta, 1Password/Kolide, Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, and Zoom.
- Set clear objectives and guide the team to meet and exceed goals.
- Establish efficient IT policies and processes to boost organizational productivity.
- Stay up-to-date on IT trends and best practices, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop IT professionals, supporting their technical and career growth.
- Identify and escalate strategic opportunities across departments to elevate company performance.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing IT systems in technology companies, preferably with 100–500 employees.
- Hands-on expertise with MDM (Mobile Device Management), SSO (Single Sign-On), SaaS administration, and endpoint security.
- Experience supporting hybrid or remote-first teams, ensuring seamless distributed work.
- Strong skills in automating repetitive tasks and building scalable internal tooling.
- Ability to balance short-term fixes with long-term infrastructure planning.
- Exceptional communication, organizational skills, and a customer-focused approach.
- Strategic planning and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach IT professionals, fostering both personal and business growth.
