Responsibilities
- Collaborate across departments to develop, refine, and implement venue-based event operations plans.
- Guide the venue team to meet objectives, ensure readiness, and deliver on commitments to stakeholders and venue operators.
- Cultivate strong, productive, and respectful relationships with venue partners, stakeholders, and local government agencies, acting as the primary daily venue leadership contact.
- Work across functions to create an efficient and effective engagement process with venue partners, including managing meeting schedules, stakeholder site visits, venue planning, and operational readiness.
- Coordinate closely with venue infrastructure and technical teams to monitor deliverables.
- Oversee venue service levels, identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and capitalize on opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
- Recruit, train, motivate, and lead a diverse, high-performing venue team capable of developing and executing venue operations plans effectively.
- Collaborate with venue owners and local authorities to manage the Venue Use Agreement, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and operational requirements.
- Prepare and deliver written and oral reports on venue agreement and operational planning status to senior leaders and stakeholders, including tracking, reporting, and resolving issues throughout planning and operational phases.
- Manage venue operations in collaboration with all stakeholders, including athletes, workforce, spectators, partners, and media, focusing on a comprehensive, inclusive, and fully accessible venue.
- Establish working relationships and coordinate activities with local authorities and security representatives specific to the venue and its approach.
- Lead functional areas to create the Event Operations Plan and other tools for planning and delivery for competition venues, training sites, stakeholder hotels, and airports.
- Champion and embed organizational values and behaviors into all aspects of engagement, planning, and delivery.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in relevant roles within the sports or event management industry, working on major Games delivery, major event properties, or event production companies.
- Proven track record of leading the planning and delivery of large-scale, complex event operations across multiple project phases, including planning, readiness, and operation.
- Skill in working with executives, building cross-functional partnerships, and influencing stakeholders across multiple functional areas.
- Experience building and leading diverse, high-performing teams.
- Negotiation skills and diplomacy in balancing competing interests.
- Experience working within a complex, cross-functional organization.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and think creatively and innovatively to develop solutions-based approaches.
- Experience creating, developing, and refining business processes and structures.

Work Arrangement
Remote (City/Region) — NYC, Columbus, Nashville, St. Louis, San Jose, San Diego
Other
- The position will be located in one of the six remote cities with in-person attendance required (NYC, Columbus, Nashville, St. Louis, San Jose, San Diego).
- The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
- Ability to travel occasionally to different venues across the assigned market and possibly to Los Angeles and other remote football cities.
