About the Role
Lead the development and execution of a national education initiative focused on empowering families through choice, innovation, and community-driven solutions in K–12 education.
Responsibilities
- Direct the strategic vision for a nationwide education reform effort
- Build and manage partnerships with advocacy groups, nonprofits, and policymakers
- Identify emerging opportunities in education policy and practice
- Guide grantmaking strategies to support innovative learning models
- Represent the initiative at public forums and stakeholder meetings
- Develop messaging and communication strategies for diverse audiences
- Oversee program evaluation and impact measurement frameworks
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with goals
- Engage with community leaders to understand local education challenges
- Support the scaling of successful pilot programs
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting education
- Foster relationships with research institutions and think tanks
- Lead internal and external reporting on initiative progress
- Design strategies to increase family access to quality education options
- Promote equity and inclusion in all program designs and outreach
- Drive thought leadership through publications and speaking engagements
- Manage budgets and resource allocation for maximum impact
- Ensure compliance with funding guidelines and reporting requirements
- Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Respond to shifting education landscapes with adaptive strategies
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree in public policy, education, or related field
- Direct experience in school choice or education innovation programs
- Existing network within national education reform communities
- Experience with federal or state-level policy advocacy
- Knowledge of charter schools, homeschooling, or microschool movements
