About the Role
This role is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of global compensation programs. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with operational excellence to ensure pay practices support company values, talent objectives, and scalability across regions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation and refinement of global compensation frameworks and methodologies
- Partner with HR and business leaders to align pay strategies with organizational priorities
- Ensure compensation programs support diversity, equity, and inclusion goals
- Lead annual compensation planning cycles, including merit, bonus, and equity processes
- Analyze market data to maintain competitive and equitable pay positioning
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools to monitor compensation trends and outcomes
- Collaborate with People Analytics to model the impact of pay decisions
- Manage external vendor relationships for benchmarking and survey participation
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and international compensation regulations
- Guide internal equity reviews and recommend adjustments where needed
- Lead communication and change management efforts related to pay programs
- Train managers on compensation philosophy, guidelines, and best practices
- Evaluate and improve job leveling frameworks to support pay transparency
- Support M&A activities with compensation integration planning
- Drive process automation and system improvements for efficiency and accuracy
- Stay current on global compensation trends and regulatory changes
- Advocate for employee-centric design in all compensation initiatives
- Maintain documentation of policies, methodologies, and governance processes
- Work closely with Total Rewards to ensure alignment across reward components
- Provide strategic insights to executives on compensation-related risks and opportunities
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
- Experience in SaaS or software industry
- Prior leadership in global compensation at a publicly traded company
- Background in organizational development or talent strategy
- Experience with IPO readiness compensation planning
