Responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap and deliverables for the core digital workspace suite (Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft 365, Filecloud, etc.), optimizing for predictable, regular cadences of impactful updates.
- Build custom automations and integrations between the SaaS stack and internal systems to reduce manual overhead, eliminate single points of failure, and streamline employee lifecycles.
- Lead incident resolution and post-mortem processes for minor and major outages or misconfigurations within the domain, participating in the engineering support and escalation model as needed.
- Embrace long-term project ownership while actively training and upskilling other engineers to avoid becoming a single blocker.
- Mentor, coach, and assist other engineers across the domain, facilitating onboarding for new team members.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Security, and IAM teams to provide feedback on roadmaps, ensuring articulation of why a feature is being built and the customer problem it solves.
- Promote a culture of collaboration that minimizes duplicate work and aligns teams with broader engineering ceremonies (e.g., Tech Days, guilds).
- Actively participate in the interview panel to help grow engineering talent using best practices.
- Design and scale systems with a long-term approach, utilizing clean design patterns, infrastructure-as-code (where applicable), and robust API documentation.
- Account for the availability, reliability, and security of digital workspace tools, proactively managing technical debt within the risk appetite.
- Enforce company engineering best practices around monitoring, alerting, observability, and compliance auditing for third-party tools.
