About the Role

The role involves monitoring and analyzing digital content across platforms to identify emerging trends, extremist narratives, and disinformation campaigns using qualitative and quantitative research techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor online spaces for emerging narratives and harmful content
  • Analyze digital trends using open-source investigation tools
  • Produce detailed research reports based on collected data
  • Identify patterns in online behavior and network structures
  • Support investigations into extremism and disinformation
  • Use social media platforms to gather relevant content
  • Apply qualitative analysis methods to digital content
  • Conduct data scraping and manage large datasets
  • Collaborate with research teams on project deliverables
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of digital platforms and tools
  • Contribute to policy-relevant research outputs
  • Verify online information using established methodologies
  • Work with multimedia content including images and videos
  • Translate non-English content when necessary
  • Support the development of research frameworks
  • Participate in team discussions and planning sessions
  • Present findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with ethical research standards
  • Manage multiple research tasks under deadlines
  • Contribute to grant reporting and project documentation
  • Assist in designing digital monitoring strategies
  • Evaluate source credibility and content provenance
  • Use structured coding techniques for thematic analysis
  • Support cross-border research initiatives
  • Engage with technical teams on tool development

Compensation
