050 Best Buy Canada Ltd. is hiring a Digital Designer I for a 12-month fixed-term role within our Digital Retail Design community. You will work in an agile team to craft cohesive customer-first shopping experiences across bestbuy.ca and other digital retail channels.
What You'll Do
- Execute visual communication and experience strategies while working within Best Buy’s brand and design guidelines
- Solve problems from a customer-centered perspective, and always thinking customer-first
- Collaborate with your design peers across the organization to drive consistency and grow your design practice
- Prepare and deliver design assets for bestbuy.ca that support responsive, standards-driven experiences
- Prepare and deliver design assets for newsletters and digital advertising across display and social, ensuring they meet brand, platform, and digital design standards
What We're Looking For
- 1-2 years of experience working in a design team
- A digital portfolio demonstrating your design skills
- Foundational understanding of core design principles, including layout, hierarchy, typography, and visual consistency
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
- An understanding of how to design for and use a content management system
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Figma
- Foundational knowledge of motion design principles such as ease, timing, transitions and creating lightweight animation
