Facility Performance Consulting Limited is hiring a Digital Buildings System Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end integration of building management systems, IoT devices, and facility technologies into cloud environments.
  • Evaluate existing infrastructure including HVAC, lighting, energy systems, and IoT components for technical readiness.
  • Document and map system architectures to align with cloud migration requirements.
  • Set up cloud environments to ingest and manage data from building systems.
  • Design and deploy reliable data transmission protocols from on-site systems to cloud platforms, maintaining data accuracy.
  • Configure cloud services, storage, and processing workflows on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Enforce cybersecurity standards and data privacy practices in all data transfers and cloud storage operations.
  • Apply encryption, access controls, and authentication methods to safeguard operational data.
  • Analyze performance data to deliver insights on efficiency, sustainability, and operations.
  • Produce detailed operational reports for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with IT, facilities, and operations teams to understand system needs and limitations.
  • Deliver technical training and support to on-site personnel for cloud-based management tools.
  • Perform testing before and after integration to verify data accuracy and system functionality.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving data flow, system interoperability, and network connections.
  • Maintain thorough records of integration procedures, configurations, and cloud settings.
  • Produce regular updates on integration progress, system health, and performance indicators.
  • Represent the organization professionally to ensure high client satisfaction.
  • Contribute effectively within a team environment to advance digital building services and business goals.
  • Follow direction from immediate supervisor and company leadership.
  • Manage personal tasks and communicate or escalate issues as needed.
  • Comply with company policies including health and safety, time reporting, and expense procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.
