Responsibilities
- Design and manage automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for continuous integration and deployment.
- Create and maintain automation scripts in Bash and Python to streamline system operations.
- Administer Linux servers including configuration, patching, service management, and access controls.
- Develop and support containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes.
- Configure and manage KrakenD as an API gateway, handling routing, authentication, and traffic policies.
- Deploy and maintain monitoring, alerting, and log aggregation systems using Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
- Work closely with software teams to enhance deployment reliability and platform stability.
- Respond to system incidents, perform troubleshooting, and conduct root cause investigations.
- Keep infrastructure documentation updated and help define operational best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines, runners, and environment configurations.
- Solid background in Linux system administration on Ubuntu or RHEL distributions.
- Strong scripting abilities using Bash or Python for automation tasks.
- Production-level experience with Docker and Kubernetes in scalable environments.
- Familiarity with security, monitoring, and automation practices in infrastructure management.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Kubernetes and Helm for application deployment and management.
- Working knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience configuring Nginx or HAProxy as web or reverse proxy servers.
- Hands-on use of Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic Stack for observability.
- Familiarity with GitLab Registry and managing artifacts in CI/CD workflows.
- Exposure to OpenTelemetry and Jaeger for distributed tracing.
- Integration experience with identity providers like Keycloak or LDAP.
- Experience deploying and managing MinIO for object storage.
- Cloud platform experience on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Prior work with KrakenD API Gateway in production settings.
