Responsibilities
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the existing and upcoming architecture, features, and capabilities of the internally developed deployment platform.
- Maintain consistent and clear daily communication with all relevant teams as needed.
- Guide project teams on preparing their work for integration into the deployment pipeline, including source control setup, branching models, and DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to fulfill their requirements and address inquiries related to continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Set up and manage the SVN distributed system across multiple applications and automate build processes using Jenkins or equivalent tools.
- Create and maintain Unix and build scripts essential for deployment automation.
- Oversee deployment coordination, including the creation of deployment documentation, release plans, and operational run books.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in application and middleware layers.
- Lead the setup, configuration, and deployment of applications across development, quality assurance, system integration, user acceptance, production, and disaster recovery environments.
- Obtain final sign-off from QA and development teams prior to deploying applications.
- Investigate, diagnose, and fix problems related to builds and deployments.
- Construct and manage development environments to support continuous integration and testing.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Junit, Sonar, Cucumber, Selenium, Lisa test virtualization, and performance testing is a strong advantage.
