Sardine is hiring a DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Lead and advance the DevOps and platform engineering function, covering deployment systems, monitoring, infrastructure automation, and cost efficiency.
  • Build and manage secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines that enable fast product development while maintaining system stability.
  • Enhance system observability using Datadog, Google Cloud Platform, and custom dashboards, with a focus on financial operations insights.
  • Establish and manage FinOps practices, including cost allocation models, to promote financial accountability across engineering.
  • Boost engineering team efficiency by developing internal tools, reusable infrastructure components, and simplified deployment processes.
  • Support teams in defining and tracking service level objectives to set clear benchmarks for system performance and reliability.
  • Act as a strategic advisor on FinOps, guiding product and engineering teams toward cost-optimized technical architectures.
  • Influence the long-term vision for DevOps by shaping engineering culture and promoting best practices across teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, finance, and product groups to align infrastructure spending with business outcomes.
